George Liparidis
President and Chief Executive Officer

George Liparidis is president and chief executive officer of Sempra International, which develops, builds and operates energy infrastructure assets and distributes electricity and natural gas to customers in Mexico, Chile, Peru and Argentina. The company also operates liquefied natural gas (LNG) receipt terminals in the United States and Mexico.

Sempra International is a subsidiary of Sempra Energy, a San Diego-based, Fortune 500 energy services holding company whose subsidiaries provide electricity, natural gas, and value-added products and services. The Sempra Energy companies' 17,500 employees serve more than 31 million consumers worldwide.

Prior to his current position, Liparidis was president and chief executive officer of Sempra Pipelines & Storage.

Before joining Sempra, Liparidis was vice president of Enova International, the international subsidiary of Enova Corporation. Enova Corporation merged with Pacific Enterprises to form Sempra Energy in 1998. In this position, he was responsible for business development and operations in Mexico.

Before that, Liparidis served as project manager for San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), another Enova Corporation subsidiary, from 1992 to 1996. Prior to SDG&E, he worked for Energy America, an independent power producer, as director of Financial Analysis and Planning.

Liparidis has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Utah at Salt Lake City and a master's degree in business administration from San Diego State University.

Octávio Simões
Senior VP and President - Sempra LNG

Octávio Simões is Senior Vice President and President for Sempra LNG. Sempra LNG develops, builds and operates liquefied natural gas (LNG) receipt terminals in North America.

In his current position, Simões directs all operations of Sempra LNG.

Sempra LNG developed the first LNG receipt terminal on the west coast of North America and a second terminal in Louisiana near the Gulf of Mexico. The combined capacity of the facilities is 2.5 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of natural gas per day.

Simões has more than 28 years of experience in the energy industry, serving as a project manager, project developer, consultant and asset manager in the United States, Latin America, and Europe. In 1998, he joined Sempra Generation where he last served as vice president of asset management and was responsible for managing the fleet of power plants owned totaling 2,550 megawatts (MW). Previously, Simões was vice president of planning and analysis where he oversaw economic analysis, transmission support and market rules/structure for Sempra Generation's generation portfolio. He also served as project director for the 600-MW Termoeléctrica de Mexicali Power Project in Mexicali, Mexico, which began commercial operation in July 2003.

Prior to joining Sempra, Simões worked for Earth Tech as senior program director, advising independent power producers on acquisitions of generation assets and new project developments. Before that, Simões was director of generation projects for the National Environmental Engineering Institute, the unregulated affiliate of the New England Electric System, and developed projects in the United States, Brazil, Hungary, Poland and Portugal. He also held several engineering and management positions with the New England Electric System. Simões began his professional career with Stone & Webster Engineering Corp.

Simões is a native of Lisbon, Portugal. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. He is a registered professional engineer in Massachusetts.

Eduardo Pawluszek
Vice President - South America

Eduardo Pawluszek joined Sempra in August of 2011. In his current position at Sempra International, Pawluszek oversees all operations in South America including Chilquinta Energia in Chile, Luz del Sur in Peru, and their subsidiaries.

Before joining Sempra, Pawluszek served in different positions at AEI in Houston, including executive vice president and chief financial officer. He also served as chief executive officer for AEI’s subsidiaries Emgasud and EDEN in Argentina.

Pawluszek has been a board member at leading energy companies in Peru, Chile, Colombia and Argentina. He also served as chief financial officer of TGS, after working as manager in the areas of finance and investor relations for that company for various years. He also worked for the Royal Bank of Canada, focusing on business development with Argentine and Chilean corporate clients and corporate banking.

Pawluszek received his bachelor's degree in public accountancy from the University of Buenos Aires and a master's degree in finance and capital markets from the Escuela Superior de Economía y Administración de Empresas.

Arturo Infanzón
Vice President - Mexico

Arturo Infanzón is vice president for the Mexican operations at Sempra International. In his current position, Infanzón oversees all gas distribution and transportation operations in different states of Mexico, a power plant in the city of Mexicali and a wind energy project under development in the mountains of Baja California.

Infanzón currently serves on the board of Chilquinta Energia, S.A., and Luz del Sur, S.A.A., companies.

Prior to his current position, Infanzón was vice president and director of operations at Sempra Pipelines & Storage and served in positions of increasing responsibilities, including controller of operations in Mexico, and general manager for ECOGAS, Sempra Energy’s gas distribution utility in Mexico.

Prior to joining Sempra in 1997, Infanzón was employed at Price Waterhouse and First National Bank. Infanzón holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Universidad Aútonoma de Baja California in Mexico and a master’s degree in finance from San Diego State University.

Kimberly McDonnell
Chief Counsel

Kimberly McDonnell is Chief Counsel for Sempra International and is responsible for legal affairs of the company.

Previously to her current position, McDonnell was Chief Counsel for Sempra LNG from 2010 to 2011, and before that, she served as Senior Counsel for Sempra Energy from the time she joined in 2007 to 2010.

Before joining Sempra, McDonnell was a litigation partner with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman.

McDonnell has a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School, and a Bachelor of Science in construction engineering from Iowa State University. Before attending law school, she worked for Bechtel in power plant construction and start-up.

John Dill
Controller

John Dill is the controller for Sempra International, leading the company’s accounting, financial reporting and financial planning functions.

Prior to joining Sempra International, Dill was controller of the Sempra LNG business.

Previously, he was director, accounting research and policies for Sempra Energy and director, back office operations for Sempra Energy's competitive energy and infrastructure development businesses.

Before joining Sempra, Dill was a manager at Deloitte & Touche in the Assurance practice from 1997 to 2004.

Dill has a bachelor's degree in business administration from San Diego State University and is a certified public accountant.

Mike Kelsey
Director - Human Resources

Mike Kelsey is the director of human resources for Sempra International and is responsible for the company’s human resources function.

With over 25 years of experience at the Sempra Energy, Kelsey has held a variety of leadership and staff positions in the areas of operations, supply management, finance, marketing, and new product development.

Kelsey holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in economics from San Diego State University.
